Hello,

I am trying to sync lighting with Arena.
Lighting controller is Martin Light jockey.
Arena is using entec DMX PRO.

There is a delay between 1.45 and 1.60 seconds.
The main problem is not delay, it is that delay is not stable!!!
It's moving between 1.45 and 1.60.

Is there a way to fix this problem?

We're aware of delay problems with Enttec USB devices, especially when sending a lot of DMX data.

What is happening is that we're asking the device how much data is available for us to read, and then read that amount of data. This prevents us from blocking or timing out during a read. The problem is that the device reports no available data for a very long time, and then suddenly the entire buffer is full.

We're in contact with Enttec about this, but so far their support is not very helpful.

Most likely this will require a hack-fix to get it to work reliably, and we're a bit hesitant to hack into Enttec's official API. But it's on the list of things to fix for 4.2.2.
