Hello...
I'm trying to install DXV 3.0.1 onto my design laptop. It's an older MacbookPro running OSX 10.6.8 - really not trying to update the OS, as everything Im running on here (older versions of apps with plugins) is working fine. I've tried to install the latest DXV codec on this machine and it keeps crashing.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

This is a problem with Apple's Gatekeeper. Gatekeeper was introduced on OSX 10.7, and will warn you if you are trying to install a program made by someone who is not certified by Apple ( read: who makes a yearly payment to Apple ).

Of course there's a catch. By complying with Apple's wishes, making your app certified on OSX 10.7 and above, will stop it from working on 10.6.

There is an obscure Apple update that fixes it: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1512. For some reason, this update is not part of the automatic 10.6.8 update and has to be installed manually.

That totally worked. Thank you!
