cmd+shift+p snapshot is not working if the mouse is hovered over the browser panel.
as soon I move the mouse from above the browser panel snapshot works.

Keyboard input is disabled for shortcuts when you're over the browser. Instead, keyboard input is used for search, so you can type the name of effects, clips and compositions to search for them.

but if that's so why does the output menu flash then?
was just weird, seeing the output menu flash as usual for the key combo, bot not getting an image, with a special key combination that doesn't have any function othervise in the browser panel.
Or do the cmd/control keys have any function in the browser panel when not mouse clicking?

I guess the menu shouldn't flash. If you like, I can make a ticket for that.

Since we'll be adding a proper search box for the browser in the future anyway, I would rather spend time on that though.

search box would be nice, will it have a keyboard shortcut?

I used the browser panel search feature always by clicking on the panel first, and thought that the clicking brings the browser window in focus (as with any other app), but the hovering did :S.
I see the 1 px outline now, when hovered over the panel sometimes.

Testing this I have to note that just hovering over the panel doesn't always work to activate searching, sometimes I have to click the list:
notice how then only hovering over the path activates the search and the grey outline around 1:20.

Maybe I should be a bit clearer.

We're not going to do work on the current browser search functionality anymore.
