Hi
I am new to Resolume and wondered why a twin laptop setup was the ultimate recommendation for VJ work? Can someone please explain?

Who said that? Altough some laptops are realy good with Pal resolution and resolume 2.0. Juyst had my hands on a real cheap 1000eur fujitsu simens that was running three layers of pal clips with efects of an external HD with The CPU stll ticking.
Laptops are grat to carry a vj needs to be mobile...

Hi
Thanks for the replies. It did have me 'foxed' and being new to VJing I thought I had missed something....
I am coming from a music/recording background and have had Cubase recording setup for a 5ish years. I tweak my audio PC as follows
http://www.musicxp.net/tuning_tips.php I think some of the tips would be useful for a VJ PC.

the reson i use laptops is portability.... they weigh less and take up less space than a desktop and monitor.....

far easier to set up in club / gig. Far easier to take to rehearsal's. Far easier to take anywhere when working on that next set........? Don't think i fancy taking full desktop plus monitor on a aircraft with me....
