Hey there so in res5 I was able to add effects in the layers and keeping my top layer effect free for logos and such. Now when I duplicated the effects in each below layer, resolume makes you select that layer in order to apply the effects. Any way to bypass this so no matter what clip i play in my below layers will get effects applied? thanks!

I guess I can put them all in a group...

Your midi mapping all of those with Selected Layer instead of This Layer. When midi mapping look at the target drop down box. The new midi mapping has a different default which can trip you up. Spend a little more time getting to know the mapping workflow, it opens up alot of nice possibilities!
Edit. You post is alittle vague to me so I'm assuming when you say apply effects you mean have midi trigger certain effects instead of copying the effects from one layer to another.

could you describe step by step what you are doing and how it doesn't work?
It's not completely clear to me if you are adding effects to layers directly or creating effect clips in layers.
Screenshots could help from Resolume 5 so we can see what you are creating in Resolume 6.
Thanks!

Hey sorry bout the vague description. But yes the solution was to have all the layers you want with effects either in a group or when you midi map select "This Layer" instaad of selected layer. Or else resolume will make you select that layer in order to apply whatever effects you have in them.
