How is this possible ?
I can't make any sense out of the recording options to.
Is this where I should fix the problem ?:(

Your computer and/or harddrive are probably too slow to write all data in real-time. What resolution are you trying to capture? Because your hardware can't record all data, frames are missing, and therefor it seems the recording is playing faster.

Had the same problem ;)

the size resolume is recording depends on the processing resolution.if your computer is to slow r. drops frames. try a smaller resolution.
another possibility is to change the duration for example in after effects, there you can expand easily the time. but you have to ignore the error messages, cause the first frame of the recorded clip is a bad frame.

Well,
I could change the duration in aftereffects, but that's not what I had in mind ;) .

The thing is,I want to make a demo.
My idea was to record some clips, while I'm playing a track that I'll wil use for the demo later on.(editing my recorded clips in premiere).
So it's importent that the the time is correct right away.

I got my outputt and processing settings allready at lowest.

Perhaps it's the 256mb internal memory, my lappie has 1GB, my desktop also, never tried recording on my desktop though. (AMD hehe)

Will do greetings to Mr. Hans ;)

Cheerz.

I've just spent a few days trying to record a R2 mix for a DVD. I could use capture device (like Pinnacle's MovieBox) on a second computer, but the quality suffers going from digital to analog and back. So I thought I would use the R2 capture, but noticed the capture rate was only at about 1/3 the actual frame rate of 30fps. I believe this is a combination of HW/SW limitations. My system is near the high end for a windows box - 3.2GHx P4, 800 MHz FSB, 1G RAM (but not dual core, I'm not sure that would help).

So what I ended up doing was taking the captured avi file and loading it into VirualDub (vd performed some repair in the process), then saved it at 29.97 fps (NTSC), then loaded it into a video editor (Studio or Premier) and then applying a speed correctin affect to "slow" the video 3x so the playback rate is close to the original mix in R2. But then of course you only have 1/3 the frames so it looks jerky, but I think that's the best you can do.

Record your output to a DV camcorder with an AV-in, as far as I know this is the standard method. You'll need a few adapters (prob svideo-phono plug) but you'll have virtually no loss in quality and of course no frame drops since there is no extra processor/hard drive overheads.

Obviously you then capture this video off the cam as you normally would into premier or similar.

im having the same prob, when i start resolume it recordes them in real time but after awile it stops and i have to lower the frame rate. most of the time i go out to mini dv far more relieble, but you have to rerip it.

ive noticed that when resolume is left running for a few ours it can do odd things :?
