I read that a camcorder connecting via USB feed chews way too much power.
Since i'm building a new BOX soley for LIVE feed stuff also, i really want to maximise efficiency here...
Want to know what card would be best to input via SVHS from Camcorder into PC to get a more responsive and more efficient live feed in resolume.
Who can recommend a VERY good one. ?

for TV is faily average, but it works great in resolume. plus a guy i knew worked at a shop that sells them, so i got it for $70

hey Levon.. will have a look at it.
would this solution be easier on the CPU though ?
I know it will work... but do you know if it will be more efficient for resolume than using USB ?

I have used both an external usb 2.0 ati tvWonder pro, and an internal ati tvWonder pro card. MUCH better results from the internal. No matter what, the usb has more delay, and causes other clips to slow down. Go with internal in my opinion!!!

yeah a lot of shuttles come with on-board video and sound, but the one i bought the 75g2 doesn't.
I also wont be installing an internal DVD recorder so i can accomodate the 3rd HDD. External DVD writer and an external Audigy 2 will have to do... and if i'm ever keen to use audio analysis at a gig i'll just have to carry another bit of equipment.. ----->
