LINK receiving uneven Beatclock

Hi,

When i LINK Ableton and Resolume, Resolumes BPM input is changing overtime. When i set it to 120 in Ableton in Reolume it translate to 118 up to 121. So it 'Wobbles' between those BPM numbers and is not set to the (steady) BPM in Ableton.

I have a networksession setup and i believe my WIFI is fine (as far as i know)

Does anyone have a clue to fix this?

Any help is much appreciated!

Nils :D

Are you using Midi clock, or Ableton link?
I'd recommend Ableton Link, but think you're now using Midi clock. However Wifi packet delay could play a role here.

Hi,

I Clicked the LINK buttons both in Ableton and in Resolume and both Macs are on a WIFI network.
Earlier i learned that LINK does not require any MDI set up because it uses a different protocol.

I don't Know if this is true. It would help to learn something more about the distinctions between these protocols. (MIDI NOTES, MIDICLOCK,LINK Network sessions etc) It is hard to tell what connection is doing what in general.

I'm running CATALINA by the way
:?

Ableton Link does not need Midi.

Notes and midiclock is part of Midi specs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIDI
Ableton Link is developed by Ableton: https://www.ableton.com/en/link/
