I hope I'm not hijacking the thread here. I'm just a Resolume hobbyist looking at buying a new laptop - probably an M1 Apple for reasons unrelated to Resolume. 2 questions...

1) I'm unclear - does Resolume not currently run on M1 or is it just not yet optimized for it?
2) I have a copy of Arena 6. Will that be receiving any M1 related updates or will those only be pushed to the latest version?

1. It runs, not optimized, optimizations are coming.
2. No, development for V6 has been dead for a while. v7 has been out for a few years now.

What are you using to get 3 screen outputs from your MacBook Pro M1?
It only supports 2 outs natively, yes?

The M1 max can do 3 outputs for me, HDMI, and two through thunderbolt.
Maybe it can do more, don't know, don't have any more dongles.

TB4 can support 2 displays. But you can MST those displays if you're feeling spicy.

Ahh, I'm on a 14" MacBook with M1 PRO - hence only 2 external screens supported natively.
"You can connect up to two external displays with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz (Apple M1 Pro)"
The workaround seems to be a HyperDrive Dual 4K HDMI hub to get a 3rd screen going
but I'm going to try out a Datapath Fx4 first to see what that might do...
so potentially 5 external displays plus the laptop screen for Control.

It's an M1 Max.

One monitor via USB C directly, one via HDMI directly, and another via a USB C to HDMI adapter. I still have a free USB C port, so maybe could add another monitor that way.

The laptop is drawing power from the USB C monitor, which is incredibly convenient. (The monitor has a 210W PSU...)

I don't think MST hubs are supported on Mac OS.

Im running Arena with a 6912x1080 banner wall (HDMI), 1080P monitor (USBC > HDMI), 2x 1080P Graphics channels, Key/Fill thirds via Decklink Duo in a sonnet PCI enclosure connected via TB3. M1 Mac Mini/16GB/2TB. Runs amazing!
