Hi, could someone please explain the VIDEO ROUTER to me ?

I checked the Manual but did not get any result – see attached Screenshot.

– Shouldn’t i get a Preview by active VR Clip of the Clips below ?

And – from the Manual:
„The Video Router allows you take the output of a single layer or the layers below the
router into another layer.“

How to do this ?

Thank You

Video routers are ways to directly pull textures from other layers into a clip. They are very heavy on your machine and are typically frowned upon using. There are usually a LOT better ways to achieve a solution than to use them.

They pull textures from other layers to a clip.
So if you insert a layer router in layer 5 and set the source of that router to be layer 1, it will pull layer 1's texture into the clip slot in layer 5 where the router is.

Effect clips are video routers with effect added to them. That's the primary use of video routers, so you can quickly switch between different effects(stacks).
