Feature request: Missing Media

Post by jolson »

It would be great if in the main interface it was clear when there was missing media. Ideally it would do something like change the clip boarder to red when it can no longer find media, but at the very minimum, doing so when a clip is selected. Current behavior is that it looks like it is playing back (timeline is rolling, etc) even when the file cannot be found.

(This is my first post and I'm pretty sure this is the correct forum board, but if not please let me know)

Yes, that seems to work (as you've linked) if you close and reopen Resolume...

However, in our environment, the Resolume computer is simply left on continuously, and there is a chance the source file might disappear from under Resolume. And while I don't think the software should always be polling for media, it should probably show that it is missing media when that clip is called upon. Which it doesn't seem to do. Instead, the transport shows it is playing back, while the output is black.
