Alley UI not pure black?

Can we have a window border (eg the pink tone of the icon?), or even just a slightly off black tone to Alley, or a texture at least (eg carbon fiber look of alley logo grey/black)?
For those of us who have gig pc's with permanently black desktop backgrounds, it's just a PITA always having to work out where the alley begins and wallpaper ends etc.
