hi there..

Talysis is a short film i made using digital video feedback with resolume that some of you guys might be interested in:

'Talysis (9 min DVD) was made for the Crystalpunk Workshop for Soft Architecture held in Utrecht, Holland in Autumn 2005. The film explored elements self-organisation and crystallisation and navigates the possibility of a sentient geometry to produce a stream of geometric archetypes, a collective unconscious for emergent dynamical systems, a video feedback language system for pattern recognition.'

Hi Zooph,
It sounds interesting (although your text above is a bit vague ;-) ) and it's nice to see seomeone explored the video feedback in resolume to a maximum.
Is there a link to a piece of video or are there only stills.

Cheers
Edwin

thanx for the response guys....

im in the process of working on the soundtrack/sounds for the final DVD - which should be ready in about a month, then i will post some video, just wanted to document what i had so far. Plus i like some of the philosophical questions that arise when using VF and these stills illustrate some concepts ( see the nerdy writing on the page ;) ) its not so easy to talk about concepts such as morphogenesis when viewing emergent video feedback on the fly....

stay tuned, thanx again,
