Hi,

What is the best way to accomplish the following:

I have an AKAI APC40 MKII. I'd like to assign the playhead control of few of my clips to the top knobs on the APC40.

layer 1:
clips 1,2,3 are assigned to control the playhead with knobs 1,2,3

layer 2:
clips 1,2,3 are assigned to control the playhead with knobs 4,5,6

What I need to happen is that if I turn knob 5 I need clip 2 in layer 2 to play
while at the same time if I turn knob 1 it plays clip 1 from layer 1.
Then if at any point I start turning other knobs I need the clips to star playing.

Right now I am not able to do this because I have to click on the clip with the mouse first in order to trigger it then I can control it with the assigned knob.

Any idea if this is feasible?

So you'd like to have the midi CC trigger the clip, and same midi CC to adjust the play position?

The trigger will happen when the CC would reach a threshold, at which point the playhead would also follow that.
I'd recommend triggering with buttons on your APC, and then you can use the knobs to control the play position.
I'd map the layer's position scroll, that would only need one dial per layer, and would always work on the playing clip.
