First sorry for my english, i'll do my best.

Hi everybody. This is my problem :

I've two pcs. I've the same problem on each one.
Resolume 2.3 takes all resources of my computer, even without any vidéos. Just with the software running, as you can see on the screen capture :

The two cpu are : p4 3ghz and amd athlon 2800+

Any idéa for this problem ?

there have been threads about this already, do a search.... but preatty much the way resolume is writen, it will take up all the CPU power. its not a bad thing.

hi aspro321,
Resolume is programmed like a game and takes 100% of the cpu.
This way Resolume can react as fast as possible on the actions of the user.

Cheers

hi all,

we've checked about it in the several threads on the subject already, and indeed this is the usual answer "resolume is programmed like a game and that's the way it is"... but then, while discussing the issue on the French VJ community forum (vjfrance.com), some users told us resolume only took about 47-48% of the cpu on their machine, which makes a big difference with our 100% or so. what is it due to, in your opinion? cpu speed only ?

as far as I'm concerned, it's not such a big problem, as long as I don't have to open any other application during my set (to create a last-minute text animation with swish for instance), cos' in this case, resolume output freezes... is there any way of avoiding this ?

thanx in advance for your replies.

the ones who had 47-48 had dualcores like I do :)
As Resolume uses just one core - that's what you get.
And thats the whole secret IMO

Thanks, after reactvate HT : (and also change the motherboard and cooler system). ressources are now 50% less. Thanks for this précision. (sorry, dont know if this word exist):)
