Hello community
I recently bought a new M3 MacBook so it's a fresh install more less and the problem is for many days. I converted my entire Video library to DXV but now I realized that my Mac is Sonoma won't let me install the DXV Codec it says cannot install the software because Apple cannot search for viruses in the installer.
What to do?

Sorry for annoying you but a few seconds later I found a working fix for this problem:
I Copied the installer ony my Desktop and said open with Installation Program -then it would me let install the Codec!

You can bypass the mac security in the System settings. There will be a button to launch the installer if you get a message like this.
The standalone DXV3 codec installer is for quicktime plugins. If you'd like to use the Adobe plugins, I'd recommend using the Arena or Alley installers instead.

Hello,
I have a similar issue with a Mac M2 max running on Sonoma, I managed to install the codec DXV but Aftereffect shows a message like: The following plugins are installed, but are not compatible with this version of Atereffect (2025). They will show as missing in existing projects... To use these plugins, run an After Effects on an Intel-based Mac computer".
Any workaround?
Thanks!!

Try installing the codec with the 7.22.0 Alley release from the bottom of the download page. Make sure Adobe apps are closed.
