Apply Lumakey to composite and see mask?

Hi, I'm trying to apply a global lumakey to my composition. For example in HSV color space if the value (V) is above 0.9 I want it to be displayed as alpha 0. I would like to be able to see the mask of what is being filtered to 0 alpha and then replace those alpha values with a different color.

In TouchDesigner I achieved this same effect by connecting my video to a level - setting the HIGH out to 0.9 and then using a composite set to over with a solid color of the same sized resolution as the original video.

How can I achieve this effect in Resolume?

I tried using the luma key I effect on the layer, however
1. I wasn't sure how to replace the color afterwards
2. see what areas were being masked

So you basically have a keyed output with transparent areas, and want to show a color on those transparent areas?
Put your layers into a group, to the keying there.
Add a layer below the group with the Solid color source.

Hi,

Thank you for the response. This is a good suggestion. I forgot to mention that I'm using Resolume Avenue so I don't have access to groups :geek:

The Solid color effect with show image enabled could be used to put a color behind a transparent clip. Won't be as flexible and you can't play videos, but a single color can be done.
