There's a bug when labelling the Dashboard Links.

If I assign an effect (A) parameter to Link 1, I then apply a colour label to my effect (pink), Link 1 reflects that colour.

If I then assign a parameter from an effect(B) with the default colour (green) to Link 1, Link 1 now changes to green.

If I now assign pink to effect (B), Link 1 remains the default green, despite both effects assigned to it being pink.

There appears to be no way to resolve this other than resetting all parameters assigned to Link 1, assigning all the correct colours to my effects and then reassigning parameters to link 1.

Maybe being able to directly select a colour for the dashboard Links would be more efficient.

Edit:
I'm now setting the colours of my effects to pink before assigning to the Dashboard Link 1, and still, when I assign the parameter from the second effect, the Link 1 colour turns to default!

I'm finding all kinds of Dashboard-related bugs.
I'm in the middle of a project, so I can't really afford the time to report them, I'll try to in the future, but I think it needs a fair bit of testing!

Dashboard dials only take the color if only params from one effect are assigned. As soon as params from 2 different effects are assigned the dial reverts to the default green. This is not necessarily a bug but how it is at the moment.

If you find other bugs keep those reports coming!

Doesn't that behaviour render the colour coding pointless?
I can understand it if there's a mismatch of colours going on, but if all the related effects have the same colour, it doesn't really make sense.
I was trying to distinguish which dashboard link controls which effects, and yes, some dashboard links control several.That is the whole point of the dashboard, isn't it?

I am not sure how common the usecase is that multiple different effects are linked to one dashboard-dial, can only talk about me and I have most of the times one or more parameters from the same effect linked on one dial.

When implementing effect color coding the decision was made that once parameters from multiple effects are linked it gets the default color, this was less complicated in code and less error-prone to maintain. Not saying that it stays like that forever, but for now that is exepected behaviour.

I actually released a YouTube tutorial, which has proved popular, explaining how to do one knob, compound progressive effects using the dashboard.
Personally, I find the dashboard to be one of the most useful, versatile, MIDI controller and performance friendly features in Resolume.
I completely understand the take from a coding perspective though.
I guess the simplest solution would be to isolate the colour labelling of the dashboard so it can be selected manually, like in all the other cases over the interface.
