two of my lappys died on me last weekend. Ive replaced the hardrives, replaced the memory but still nothing. Had the dell support guy come out and they told me they are finished! Had these babies for 41/2 years and have done me proud. I treated them bad and they wernt looked after at all.

Im looking at getting two brand new ones asap, I was going to use dell for the finance options and my last two were Dells and they never failed me till now.

What do you guys think of these http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/produ ... l=en&s=bsd

What spec would you get? Ive read to be careful of getting a lappy with vista that cant support XP. What should I do, I have a big event on Sat the 15th. I use Resolume 2.4, not using the 3 yet as no need for the audio stuff

Appreciate your help fellas

You can always install a multiboot system with native Vista and one XP to run only resolume. Just check you can get drivers for the most important stuff (chipset and graphics). It's easy to install XP under Vista and the problems to recognise the sata hard drives disappear by installing XP under Vista, just google for a tutorial!
