I know next to nothing about programming, so I don't know if this is even workable, but it would be really cool to have the option of loading a Winamp/Sonique plugin into Resolume instead of a video clip. Would some kind of wrapper be possible?
What would also be cool would be some kind of student discount on the software

£75 is a lot of money for someone in full time education

The idea of laoding plug-ins is indeed appealing, we already thought of a system like that. It's better than building an complete plug-in system ourslelves. Anyway we will give it some thought.
About the student discount, as long as you use it for non-commercial ends it is possible to get student-discount. You will have to prove to us that you indeed are a student and not gonna use it for commercial ends.
Or you can always ask Santa.. i heard he's in town.

I don't think this kind of site would be exclusivley used by vj's, though this would be my main target audiance, but seeing as we vj's use such a wide choice of referances, depending upon the inderviduales style, then sureley you could actualy open it up to a far wider client base to any one who needs a visual data base

yes hotline is very good but most of the servers are password restricted now ... or they ask you to look up a password on a porn site ...
more about the filesharing app. idea: the good thing about peer-to-peer software file sharing is that it does not require a lot of bandwith from us ... thus keeping it low cost for us as bandwith is quite expensive ...
