hello everybody!
with reolume 2 it is possible to to show, for example, layer 1 + 2 in output 1 (graficcard A) and layer 3 in output 2 (graficcard B) ... if i am not mistaken.
is there a feature in resolume 3 that allows me to root a single (or more selected) layer(s) of my composition to a specified output display?
that would be essential for waht I want to do.

thanks a lot for any ideas!
best,
martin.

woho, i found the answer myself!
after spending the afternoon with r3 and after nearly loosing all hope ... i started to understand this new advanced output window ... and it works just great.

here a short description for anybody with the same ?!%#$ยง as me:

1) set the whole composition to a size that offers enough space for all the different output screens you need (composition > settings)
2) put your single layer frame on the position in your composition where you want it to be (layer properties > anchor X and/or Y)
3) choose a display (= graficcard), then resize and position the output-window to the position of your chosen layer (output > advanced screen setup)

that way you can have several different output signals, each combining one or more layers, and by mapping clever shortcut-keys to your clips and layers you can also play/stop different layers/outputs with one toggle.

what a great thing that is. i nearly feel as i would have invented it.

so long,
martin.
