NEW 1.0 VERSION WORKS DIRECTLY WITH RESOLUME. for both iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch
Install and Demo:
see the new download page here:
http://www.martin-thoburn.com/vj/touch- ... esolume-3/
-------
Thanks to advancements in TouchOSC, and VJ Tschoepler for modifying my Beta Layout a new final version of the popular Touch Resolume Layout is here! This new version works directly with Resolume without the need for OSC translation software like OSCulator.
Touch Resolume 1.0
Download Latest Custom TouchOSC Layout here : Touch Resolume 1.0 Layout
What is it?
“Touch Resolume” is a custom layout for TouchOSC that allows you to control Resolume 3 over a wireless network directly with your iphone or ipod touch WITHOUT midi mapping, just load the software and start controlling dozens of functions in Resolume, no mapping required.. Touch Resolume controls Resolume 3.1 directly with OSC commands.
Release Notes:
version 1.0 all functions now work direct with Resolume 3 thanks to VJ Tschoepler
*bugs* – the resync & BPM button hits on the release not the touch.
version 0.9.9.1 (outdated version works only with Osculator) see old page for info

im working to map this with vvvv to resolume avenue so we can use all the options of the layout and the acelerometer
as soon i i have some news i will post it here and on gradek blog, this will veeeerrry usefull

				Looks great, works great!
If you can give me some pointers as to which commands need translation by OSCulator, I can build a Max patch to do the same. At the same time, I can format the commands to use bundles, so you can use my other OSC->Resolume patches at the same time.

				gpvillamil + Andresc4,
Thanks for offering to make patches for this great layout! The easiest way to tell what commands need to translated is to open my OSCulator patch to see what commands are being routed strait through, and what are being translated or modified. But i assume both of you are working on PCs so that is not an easy option, unless you can borrow a macbook from a friend. gpvillamil, I will send you PM and get your more details.
right now OSCulator is doing several things to make the touchosc layout work correctly:
1. changing floating point values of 0-1 to a number like 2, or 3 for some functions like play direction.
2. capping the input value on buttons so that a signal is only sent on a press, and not again on release.
3. sending a double command: /video/ & /audio/ so that all functions work with both audio and video clips.

im still working on this, i having a hard time to send the osc values to resolume,,, but this its a issue from my vvvv patch. if i do this right i will be able to :
Use any kind of imput devide that vvvv can handle ( mose keyboard midi controlles arduino wiimote touch osc ect ) to use it on resolume avenue
create automatisations. I can use the osc output of resolume to send it back to vvvv to get the bpm clock, and use that clock to asign a 2x sine wave to one parameter ( this is an example ), or to "rebuild" the timeswicher.
Or for example move a midi fader/mouse during 4 beats ups and down, record that movement, and send that movement looped to the fader again for a more complex mix. I will see if my ideas work, if thay do, they will be a good upgrade for next avenue
i also want to build an easy way of align a video, like vvvv camera when you have a 3d composition.
if you hold C+leftclick you will be paning the camera up/down/left/righ without any "rotacion", keeping the image 2d. If you press P+leftclick it will be the scale/zoom. And with O+Leftclick the mouse movement will define X / Y of the camera. I want to use the same keys to align any avenue composition, this will be WAY more usefull that moving the faders, and in just 3 secons you can put the video on the place you want, + the opcion to "save" that position, then asing a complete diferent one, save it again, save as may as you want, and then make a "sequence". This idea with the prism effect will be verry usefull for video maping.
As soon as i get some updates of this i will be posting here and on vvvv forums
but the most imporant think here will be arduino, that can be connected using puredata or max/msp, but someone else have to do it, i have no idea

				Hi andresc4,
Sounds interesting can't wait to test it out. Sounds like your building a very complex setup, that has lots of functions, beyond TouchOSC.

New 1.0 update works directly with resolume:
No need for OSCulator or any translation of OSC commands.

Based on the TouchResolume layout, I tweaked and rebuild the interface a bit. This layout suits my own needs and the iPad screen better. Most important added value compared to the original one, is the addition of a deck selection.
