hi to all..
I was wondering if there is a way to feed the name of the music the DJ is playing in a text layer on resolume.
through an output from the dj software or a text that he could write in his computer and send to mine via wifi.

is this possible?? maybe through rss feeds by wifi??

Probably a twitter feed and the Flash RSS example file are your easiest and best bets here. But maybe other people have hands-on experience with this sort of thing?

Check your Resolume Avenue 3.2.0 folder (different locations depending on whether you have a PC or Mac) and then check the following path:
Resolume Avenue 3.2.0/media/flash/resolumeAndFlashAS3/rss.swf

I just built a couple Twitter-viewer plugins using flash-- you can put in any @name and it will display the last five twitters from that name:

You can change font size, style, tracking and leading as well.
If you're looking to have an SMS to resolume feed and you like writing PHP, you can always build a SMS reader in PHP that will spit out a properly formatted XML file that you can pass to REZ. It's not as convenient as using the Twitter API, but SMS is kind of nice to use because it's so universal.

Next stop-- build one that allows you to search ALL tweets for a certain subject, name, etc!
