Clip Record

At first my new feature request was going to be the need for a facility to comp active clips into one parent clip on one layer, but I already know the answer to that one, and its going to be impossible to precomp composing modes etc. . so I would like to push for a more efficient event recorder. The record and immediate playback in the deck is an awesome feature, I just wish recording the output in order to bring events back into the mix, wouldnt involve so much speed deficiency and dropped frames..I am talking small amounts but hey I like my images to run smoothly. If there is anyway to speed things up in software rather than for me to buy (another) new MBP. I would put my VOTE in for that.

Are you talking about a sort of 'logical record' feature where you record and play back changes in the effect and playback controls, rather than the actual output?

Hey
MAYBE . . . A logical record for your already existing record button where we can choose between recording 1/2/4/8/12 beat long sequences and also begins recording on beat. Yeah that would help. On playback, everything would then be perfectly in sync and play to loop.

when talking about a 'logical record' feature , it reminded me of this :

i have been syncing Resolume with Live thru midi clock, musique is on Live, then i have all the midi messages sent by my surface controlleur (Novation Nocturn) sent to Resolume thru Live midi tracks that record any moves or buttons i use on my controlleur. It's a sort of logical recorder, i can edit the tracks, duplicate, etc...... :geek:

Works really nice. my only problem is that Resolume long clips dont always perfectly sync to midi clock, but its getting better. :D
