Problem with huge kompositions!

Hey Resolumes,

first some system and komposition fakts:

PC:
Windows 7 Professional
""2"" x CPU Intel Xeon E5506 @ 2.13
12GB Ram
SSD OCZ VERTEX-2 Disk
ATI Fire Pro V8800 with 2GB of Ram (2x Output Beamer 1024x768 // 1x Output Resolume Operating 1920x1080)

Komposition:
4 Layers with totally 1170 Clips (All Clips are DXV)
All clips are in ONE deck because of the deckchange loading time. grrrr ;)
Komposition size 2048x768px

The Problem:
I would like to ADD 50 more clips to the Projekt...but then Resolume hangs up completely. again and again.
So...1170 Clips is the max. count of clips in Resolume?
Even when resolume hangs up I can cut some HD files in background using other software... the only slow programm is Resolume in that moment...with these fakts.

Right now I am preparing my setup for one of the bigges Techno events in Europe - And it's the first time we changed the software. TO RESOLUME - Its a great software - - so far... but some things are really annoying.

Hey Cosmowe

This probably is not the answer you're looking for, but 1100+ clips is too much to have loaded at once on any machine, in any software. It's why we introduced decks, so you could spread the weight when you need this much material, but still have access to all your clips within a single composition. Splitting up the content into decks of about 50 clips each should make loading relatively fast, and shouldn't cause hangs when adding more content.

:D You're right...that not the answer i was looking for.

spreading the clips in different decks...hmm....not with this version of Resolume. Maybe with R4 when u leveled up the deckchange time....YESSS UUU CAAAN ;)

Soooo i deleted several clips (my heart is bleeding) from the komposition. Now there are 850 Clips loaded in one deck. And it seem that resolume is still stable. Not very fast...but okay.
Last saturday I had a small gig...to test the big Setup for the main Job in May. Runs well!
