hello again!

i know, that there have been some postings regarding the topic external hds. i will ask nevertheless:

which one can be recommended?
or what kind of?

is USB 2 state of the art, because it is the fastest way?

what do you think about the Western DIgital Dual Option edition?

250GBs, 8mb cach, 7200rpm

there is also a media center edition with some card slots.

check all about it here:
http://www.wdc.com/de/products/products.asp?DriveID=79

could gert it for 250euros.

good? not good?
anything better?

It has the perfect looks for an VJ-er ;) Some nice neon-tubes :P

It's fast. You can choose USB2 or Firewire.

hi tim,

must be possible. but than u would still have to have a couple of external firewire drives that are seperate, else u would only be able to send 400 or 800 mbits trough one firewire cable...
just thinking out loud...

I don't imagine you could get a superior transfer rate over a firewire as compared to an interal bus off a RAID card, just my guess though...
