macbook pro late 2011 vs feb 2011

looking at upgrading my 5 year old core 2 duo machine( which has served me well) and was looking at either a 2.2quad core macbook pro which i can get refurbished or the recently released 2.4 model.Im assuming I wont notice much difference in speed with the 2.4 or am i wrong.Im thinking the cash saved by going with the 2.2 would be better put towards maxing out ram and getting a ssd drive put in.Any thoughts?
