there is no 'best' controller, it depends on how you used resolume and what not.

he PXL,

i think that all depends on the things u do the most...
what type of vj are you?
scratcher, movie jugler, long movies, fine tuner or 100/0, improvise a lot, what type of music...
what things would u like to do with sliders/knobs?

if you have no experience with midi controller, you need to play with different devices.
A possibility is to participate to some workshop.

There is no clear answer to your question.
According to me : this is a question of feelings,
and also question of:
- cost
- size (mobility)
- way of working.

as i wrote in some other post, from my point of view most important for resolume are sliders and knobs! so i would go for a device with loads of them (eg. the UC33). clips can be triggered with the computer keyboard easier than with piano keys anyway...

i personally got myself the PCR50, because i wanted it to use for playing music as well. using it with resolume works really great, but more faders would be better of course.

also make sure to check out the DOEPFER products like the Pocket Fader & Pocket Dial !

in case u haven' already - there are reviews for most of these controllers @ vjcentral.com!
