APC20 QUESTIONS - ALFALEADER - COZER - SUBVERT

First off.. sorry for calling you guys out in the title.. but I feel one of you three can help me here, and already have immensely with your previous tutorials THANK YOU!!! So after many nights of reading info from vjactionhero.com, vjcozer.com, subvert and alfaleader in this forum. I feel I have wrapped by head around the midi lighting coding. I have checked out everyone's templates that i can find and pieced together my own lil dream setup for resolume arena 4 and IRmapio. i plan on doing a multiple display 3d projection.

you can see you have the ability to have different layers cover different portions of your physical display piece.
that is one of the reasons why i would prefer to have more layers than columns or clips per layer.
in the video he uses 4 "input areas" im planning on 5 with 3 of thos being doubled and mirrored and spread over 10 layers in resolume and projected onto 8 individual surfaces.

so something like...
layer 1 input 1
layer 2 input 2
layer 3 input 3
layer 4 input 4
layer 5 input 5
layer 6 input 1,3,5
layer 7 input 2,4
layer 8 input all warped to design A
layer 9 input all warped to design B
layer 10 input all warped to design C
with my ideal APC20 layout something like this if my shift theory works! A little bit of everything i have seen so far and using the "cozer" style fader lights of course!!!

so patch 1 would look like this

and when i press the shift button to activate patch 2 hopefully the only thing that is changed would be
1. clips launch area now amber instead of red with and launching layer 6-10
2. kill layer buttons would shift to kill layers 6-10 from 1-5
3. columns 1-8 would change from amber to red and now change decks 1-8
4. faders 1-5 controlling layers 1-5 opacity would now control layers 6-10
5. fader 9 would shift from composition speed to hopefully bpm control

which bring me to my questions.
1. i read about a "shift button" ability thru using a dual patch, is it possible to copy patch 1 and only modify the desired effect coding so the only parts changing are your wanted options being saved to patch 2?
2. has anyone done a tap button?
3. BPM on a fader? or composition speed on a fader??
4. Does this have a chance in hell of working for me? =)
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
