Interactive Body Projection Mapping

Post by MickyMike »

Hi there.

I need to develop a interactive projection mapping instalation, similar to this example.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYJo7UetC_s

Basically consists in mapping over people moving, dancing etc.

I think that l need a Kinect device to detect the skeleton ... but I haven´t idea about how to project over the people moving.

Any help, idea, tutorial, advice?

Thanks!

Try here

or here

There are other kinect masking solutions on Kineme.net
Processing, OFx, as well as Quartz solutions are floating around.

Search for Kinect Masking.

Hope it helps.

FruityGreen has thrown up the two best solutions for sure. But if you wanna stick with Resolume.

A simple way is using Synapse with a quartz composer file on mac. Import the quartz file on to the top layer in Resolume with mask blending and run your body content under.
