artnet neopixel sketch

Post by raybuay@hotmail.com »

hello resolume

I'm seriously stuck in this situation. any help will be greatly appreciated.
i'm trying to drive a long ws-2812 led strip using the ArtnetNeoPixel sketch on
an arduino mega with an ethernet shield.

i know i can only run 170 leds per universe but what would be the
method to have those 510 instruction be "looped through" the rest of the
led strip to be able to use one arduino for the whole length of
the led strip?
i thought the ArtnetNeoPixelSketch did cycle up the universes depending
on the number of leds you configure at the top of the patch but
if i upload a configuration that goes over 170 leds, resolume
just stay frozen and i can see that if i switch between the universes
where the leds are mapped, it just give me one frame before freezing again.

How can i solve this please
is there something i need to add to the sketch?
or is there something i'm not doing correctly in resolume?

thanks

hello Resolume

I finally figure out what i was doing wrong. you need to map two universes
(0 and 1) to the TARGET IP of the board that runs the 340 leds.

i do not know why i was thinking that the sketch will actually
get the 510 channels of data of one lumiverse and
cycle them through the full lenght of the strip when you specify the number
of leds at the top.

thanks and sorry for any confusion i may have cause
this issue has been resolved

cheers
