That's exactly what I mean by compromise.

You're expecting Res 2 behaviour, which would leave the list intact and jump to each first letter with every press of that letter.

Other people are expecting search box behaviour, which narrows down the list to results that conforms to the search term.

Instead everyone gets a compromise, which leaves the list intact and jumps to the first result that conforms to the search term.

Obviously, not everybody is happy with this. So we're going to change it.

Everytime i read the words resolume 5 on these threads my heart skips a beat. Nobody is more excited for that release than I am.

If I was to move some of the vfx's out of main system folder would that create stability issues? This would also streamline the ability to find favorite vfx's...

...is it possible to rename the VFX in the system folder, so I could make a "favourite" list like:
"000 Vignette"
"001 Stripper"
"002 Wave Warp"
"003...
"004...
Etc

Renaming the filenames of the effects will not change how the effects appear in Resolume. The 'screen name' is set internally in the plugin.
