Hello dear friends,
Currently we have a SMPTE setup where we receive the signal by a minijack and from there it enters resolume. However we don't like to minijack as it is unreliable. Now we are looking for an alternative option;
Is a XLR to USB connection possible such as;
http://www.shure.com/americas/products/ ... al-adapter
And would it be recognised by Resolume?

Re: SMTPE Hardware
As far as I know any audio interface with an input will work. I don't believe the Shure would be any different as it uses standard system drivers.
If your current signal is working with the card you have it should work.
You could also just buy a cheap xlr to usb cable with the sound card built in for about 12 dollars.

I use a hum killer.
it will get you out of one of the biggest problems with timecode - hum between audio and video mains.
I then run RCA l/r to minijack in..
