Start setting is lost

Post by mowgli »

I have a comp on which I've been working for a while.
It has parameters on many clips animated to BPM with Start Settings>Clip Trigger.
On opening the comp I noticed that some parameters weren't being animated.
I checked the interface, and despite the animation being set up, it wasn't moving. I was able to initiate it by pausing it and pressing play again, but Start Settings currently has nothing selected and I'm unable to select Clip Trigger.

Any solutions?

I managed to fix it by duplicating the clip. The duplicate works as expected but now I've encountered another problem.
The clip had MIDI assigned to "This Clip", and duplicating it makes the MIDI mappings disappear. Not good.

On the MIDI subject, The MIDI mapping for the clip that no longer exists remains if I look at the MIDI shortcuts, despite the clip to which the MIDI relates no longer existing.

Start Settings>Clip Trigger. doesn't animate the param unless a clip is triggered in the object.

Duplicating a clip, the new clip is a different clip. "this clip" shortcut will still point to the old clip.

The preset doesn't know if you have the original clip, you can have the same clip opened from a different composition, or undo back to it's removal, so the shortcut is kept around.

I'm talking about the parameter not animating after triggering the clip.
I have a bunch of parameters animated on the same clip all set to on clip trigger and only some work on trigger.

Also, what's with not being able to select BPM phase or clip trigger at all?
