Arena crashing trying to open avc file

Post by lighting123 » Thu Sep 12, 2019 21:42

Hello

Creating composition files on one computer, using media manager to collect the footage, then putting the folder containing the footage and the avc file on a shared server. The folder is then copied and pasted onto different computers that are going to run the file. However, when trying to open the comp file, Arena immediately crashes.

Work around is to copy the avc file, paste it into the documents - Arena - compostition folder, and then opening Arena and opening the file once inside the program.

Any solutions would be appreciated - thank you!

Can you send this composition to mail@resolume.com so we can take a look why this happens?
Also please send us the crash report using the crash reporter that pops up after the crash, making sure you fill out your email address.
Thanks!

Update: I originally collected the media and saved the folder to a hard drive. Eliminating the hard drive, I collected the media again and saved straight to the desktop, then I put it on the server. It had no more crashing issues. This leads me to believe it was actually the hard drive and not the avc file?

Will be sending the crash report if it happens again.
