SMPTE signal sticking occasionally (every 6-7 seconds)

I have recently discovered an issue with my SMPTE input from showkontrol that I have never experienced before.
My workflow is:
- showkontrol to Timecore (via artnet timecode)
- SMPTE out from Timcore into focusrite 2i2 (line level) which is then received in resolume.
When showkontrol's source is set to clock I don't observe any sticking in SMPTE signal. However, when set to the CDJ's I notice sticking every 6-7 seconds for half a second or so causing the video to noticeably hold.
Showkontrols and Resolumes FPS are both set to 30. The buffer size im using is 1024 and the incoming signal from the timecore is not distorted or too low. Does anyone have any idea as to why I am getting this issue? Have run many shows without this issue and has only appeared on the last 3 individual shows.
TIA.
