I have recently discovered an issue with my SMPTE input from showkontrol that I have never experienced before.
My workflow is:
- showkontrol to Timecore (via artnet timecode)
- SMPTE out from Timcore into focusrite 2i2 (line level) which is then received in resolume.
When showkontrol's source is set to clock I don't observe any sticking in SMPTE signal. However, when set to the CDJ's I notice sticking every 6-7 seconds for half a second or so causing the video to noticeably hold.
Showkontrols and Resolumes FPS are both set to 30. The buffer size im using is 1024 and the incoming signal from the timecore is not distorted or too low. Does anyone have any idea as to why I am getting this issue? Have run many shows without this issue and has only appeared on the last 3 individual shows.
TIA.

Sounds like an issue on the sender side, if changing a setting there changes the behavior.
I'd hook up a SMPTE monitor to the same signal Resolume is receiving to doublecheck.
Resolume supports clip syncing to Pioneer clips, have you tried that yet?

I should have mentioned that the lighting console, receiving from the same sender is receiving a continuous signal at all times.

No, the console receives directly from the timecore.
I can see the clock on the timecore counting continuously too. So the issue is somewhere from the rocusrite to resolume.
Thanks

Try monitoring it on another computer to see if the problem is on source side.
