Resolume 6.0.9 & Adobe DXV Plugins Released

phpBB [video]

We keep them doggies rollin' with another Resolume release, version 6.0.9.

In April, Adobe stopped supporting Quicktime codecs in their software so it became impossible to render Quicktime files with the DXV codec across the entire Adobe family. We grabbed that bull by the horns and created Adobe exporter (and importer) plugins for DXV. This means you can now render to DXV straight from After Effects, Premiere Pro and Media Encoder.

Resolume 6.0.9 has over a dozen bug fixes and a couple of small but sexy new features. You can now create presets for colour palettes. On top of that, you can see some mighty fine lookin' previews in the popup for both the envelope and these new colour palette presets. Yihaw.

Wow!!! that's great news indeed!

Question... not to push on you guys...

Quicktime export on Vegas sometimes suxx as well. Any possibilities this plug-in would work as well with other products than Adobe?

Comment from craftycurate:

Excellent. Thanks for your hard work gents. Will be trying out the DXV export soon.

Comment from craftycurate:

Can once again import DXV MOV files into After Effects CC 2018 :D

Comment from timaroc:

I’ve updated and use the plugin to export video (by media encoder)
But the video does not export correctly,
the speed of sound is correct but the video is not correct.

And the problem is also happening in Compressor.
After I render the video, it’s correct played by Alley, but can not be played correct in Arena.

Is there any solution or ho can I do?

Comment from RickW:

Can we get updated instructions on how to export with Adobe Media Encoder? I'm still not seeing DXV3 as an option after the update.

Can you get in touch with us directly? We'd like to see what the problem could be.

These plugins will work on Adobe After Effects, Media Encoder and Premiere only.

Still no joy. DXV3 doesn't appear to be an option. See attached screenshot.

Comment from SiNiSon:

Do we just update reinstall DXV on graphics machines? Or do I need to install resolume on our animation rigs to render out DXV from AfterEffects?

Thx
S

Comment from residenthamster:

this is a nice touch, but i'm still on old CS6 and selecting DXV 3 just crashes AME.

fortunately i can still export as DXV 3 by choosing QuickTime and changing the codec.

The DXV plugin is also bundled with the new version of Alley.

Looks like AME doesn't create the common folders for Adobe products, and doesn't add registry entries the installer looks for.
Try installing a trial for Premiere pro or AE, and reinstall Resolume.

Unfortunately I'm in Guatemala at the moment with very poor internet, can't download jack.

Comment from julianwilliams:

Ok, so my stop-gap solution was as follows -

Installed Alley (and exporter plugin) on a friend's computer (who had Premiere installed).

Then went to:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore

And copied the "Resolume DXV" Folder, to my computer under:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CC 2018\Plug-ins\Common

Restarted Media Encoder and success!

Unfortunately as Zoltan said, it appears when you just install Media Encoder it doesn't create the Common directory that the Resolume Codec installer is looking for, so assumes that you do not have any adobe products installed to load the plugin. Would be good if this could be updated in the Alley and Resolume installers to also install to the Media Encoder directory, although this is more of an Adobe flaw than Resolume's issue.

Thanks Guys,
