have contacted support

since upgrading to 6.1.2, I've had a serious lag develop.
fine play clips, but frame rates down to 15 fps when using just one filter..

back in version 4, resolume and most other 'media servers' had a judder issue with playback.
This was finally addressed by a major upgrade at the very core of the software.
My memory of this is resolume never saying 'it's fixed' but saying 'it's better'.
Generally, video pro's still use hardware ...

isn't the best place to start the footage?
If it's been converted or made badly you'll have judder you can't fix any other way.
test it in a different player.

So it looks like your power settings are way too low.
try resetting gamma to 1, luminance to 0.5 and power to 2.
sliding the power up will make the blend darker.

it should look like this on the input

it looks like the problem is with your slices.
from the pictures you have posted, most of your slice is off the canvas.
your slices need to overlap for the soft edge to work.
maybe start again.

I don't need fine adjustments, just to move the composition output on the fly..

I decided to map my midi controller to the position values in layers.. so I can move clips in real time -
I do a lot of waterscreen shows and the waterscreen spray moves sideways in the wind...
I can adjust the sensitivity of this by using the envelope - fantastic..
would be great if I could type ...
