What about bouncing in FFT to timeline for FX? I really dislike the jumps (when the effect jumps from 100 to 0 ... looks awful and makes the effect useless for FFT at least in that mode).

the reason why it doesn't work: your clips have audio. and thus this command doesn't work. you need to change video to audio position - and weeee it works!

so /layer1/clip1/audio/position/values f does the job great.

I have a new mbp mid 2011 (i7 2,3 GHz) and I am experiencing the same problems. I have a 2 year old acer (C2D 2,26GHz) which has more than double the fps as the macbook.
