Yep I have both. The reason for wanting to use Bridge is because I like being able to tag/label clips so I can quickly search for a specifi clip or category on the fly

Should be fine. If it's a crazy long video (like 6 hours) you might have issues but anything a few hours or less plays perfect for me.
I find myself quite often in a similar situation, when all I need is to be able to jump to the deck where a specific active clip lives, that could be for different reasons like to duplicate that same clip to another layer.
