I'm sure this has been asked before but I was unable to find a thread. I'm using the Ableton Live mode for my APC40 because the alternate was giving me issues. Is there a way to have Resolume 7 remember the desired mode the next time it starts up?

There's companies that make enclosures. I've also seen people make enclosures out of a rubbermaid container

It's a much better idea in the long run to control lights and resolume from your lighting application. It's way easier to make changes down the line

Could running one program as a different user on the same computer work under windows?

Also, I found a small bug when doing this on OSX. R6's comp FPS will be set to 5.x when you launch R5. I'm referring to the composition FPS setting under comp>settings...

If your running Windows you can use Freestyler's DMX to artnet node software. It will let you send artnet data to your usb dmx dongle

The Matrox Triple/DualHead2Go or Aqua snap could work if you dont feel like dragging the window all the time
