Re: Rework Lumiverses /Fixture Handling/ Advanced Ouput Improvements

If you have a fixture spanning across multiple universes, how do you expect the channels to be split? eg what if the Red and Green channels for the last fixture pixel still fit on the first universe but the Blue channel doesnt. Does this entire pixel move over to the new universe (and thus leave 2 ...

Re: Previewing FX

You can kind of do that, if you are running only one layer. It appears that double-clicking an effect will show it in the preview window applied to the comp (at least that's what mine is doing now). It's been so long I can't remember if this was always the behavior or if it used to preview it just o...

Ping-Pong / Bounce option for parameters animated by FFT

Currently when a parameter is animated by FFT you currently have 4 options: Forwards, backwards, increasing or decreasing. Occasionally I've found myself thinking it would be nice if when choosing +/- , you could also choose what to do at the end of the parameter, either loop or pingpong. So rather ...

Re: Thumbnail Background

You can manually create a thumbnail then update it.

In Resolume -> Right Click the clip -> Thumbnail -> Load from file.

I'm lazy so I might do it all in Resolume. Throw a colored background on the clip. Right Click the clip -> Thumbnail -> Update. Then remove the background and call it a day.

Re: Conceptual - not sure how to approach this

Here is how I have done this in the past, when we had no money, and were trying to use existing equipment. The band I was working with luckily had a backing/click track running in Ableton for their songs. We added another silent track to each song that contained the midi notes we wanted to send to R...

Not CVH's, haven't tried his yet. Doc Optics Resgen set would be an example as one that kills it.

Re: Mirror actually mirroring correctly..

Clear all layers Load a line source in Layer 1. Set it to 1 line, rotation 135, position 50. Add the Mirror effect (basic preset) Effect parameters should be x = .5, y = 0, IN/OUT = 1, Flip X = checked, flip y = not checked. You should now essentially have turned the line into a V On the Mirror effe...

Re: One projector for multiple video fxs

Potentially. You could load effects clips in a layer. Adding the crop effect to those clips you could have these effects only impact parts of your composition.

What is it that you are trying to do? There may be a much easier way to accomplish your end goal.

Its the generative visuals. I have the same MBP. If you throw clean HD clips at it, its ok. Anything else kills it.

Re: Composition regularly turns off for 5 sec

It sounds kind of like your running the trial version. It will black out your composition(has resolume written but it’s hard to spot sometimes) and says “res oh lume” in a robotic voice. Pretty much like you’re describing. I might check to make sure it’s properly registered.
