I use 2x quad 2 from bmd in several machines.

as input there seem to be no difference.
as outputs the first card has about 100-120ms delay compared to gpu + second card additional 100-120ms (200-240 compared to gpu)

can u test:
6 x 4k dedicated outputs on both a4000 cards in a 11520x4320 canvas?
latency ?
how many 4k files / layers scalef up?

Novastar has an 8K to (4) 4K splitters. And then you can plug (4) FX4's into that, so a single output from your GPU could do 16 outputs. That's a LOT of processing and probably latency in the signal route, but it is an option. Also I believe the AJA Corvid 88 might be useful for this setup as well ...

The whole point of this post is to share some info regarding dual GPU for Resolume. Today the info is limited and hard to find and mostly people asking question don’t share their findings, and even though we can participate in any discussion often we don’t know how that certain project ended ...

Those cards will probably never do what people want them to. I certainly wouldn't trust the with any of my shows or even mockups. I would just stick with a rtx and some datapaths

But I'll be getting another rtx a next week, I will try with them both in 1 machine and write my findings.

The problem with multiple GPU is not stability. The problem is getting it to work in the first place.

With the GTX980 or 1080 and NVS810 in particular, the problem is that the computer won't recognise the GTX when both are installed. Nvidia considers using these two cards together 'undefined ...

Today you can buy a rtx a4000 for less then a 3080, the new a series is bang for the buck

I run x299 with resolume, i have 3 bmd quad 2, never failed ever. Must keep card up to date with fw

12.2 + 7.7 no go
12.2 + 7.6.1 no go

on this specific machine only :-S
