But I need Link to get Pulse to work. Why would Pause and Resync send information outside Resolume?

Recently bought Pulse (Great tool!) which works through Ableton link. When I activate Link , the Resync and Pause buttons are not usable anymore, greyed out.
Why is that? I want to Pause and I use resync sometimes to start a clip on the beat.

When working on envelopes I often lose the ability to enter values manually after I change a clip and go back.
I.e. I'm working on an envelope on clip A. Trigger Clip B, go back to Clip A and Boom, no possibility to enter a value. Only after I minimize and maximize the envelope this gets back. Since ...
