Re: Why i still use Resolume 5

ok, maybe Envelopes can fix those situations. Still think its "sad" that the FFT works in another way - makes no sense for me in any Situation but okay.

i use Mapio in R5/R6 mainly as plugin.
I can drop it on any instance (Clip, Layer, Group and Composition) and still can do stuff like Soft Edge in ...

Why i still use Resolume 5

i work with Resolume and Visution Mapio

still having hard times using R6 or R7

here are my struggles:

- Audio FFT works different and will not stick to 0/100%, its always above 0%/under 100%

it makes some Workflows to blend/trigger Effects by FFT impossible.

I could do a Workaround with a ...

play clipX/layerX at clip-end

would be nice to have:
an extra option for playing a specified clip (on another layer) when the current clip ends!
i think it should be quiet easy via osc adressing. (at least an effect with a parameter synced to the clip timeline which sends an osc command at the end of the timeline!?)

Crossfader Mix-Mode "Bug"

if i select 1 and 2 (lets say Layer 2 is 50% Darken) to "A", the mixing isn't done right. If i move the crossfader now from the middle to "A", the result is correct, if i move him back the output is wrong (at least to my eyes... i think maybe its the alpha-blend from crossfader!?). also if i add ...

Re: After Effects CC Render Conflicts with DXV

it's simply not an production codec ;)
render in animation or picture-frames and recode it ;)
for example, i do render all the stuff from C4D in tiff files ;)

Re: Video Card Help

for your systen u recommend something like a gtx 285 or a newer model in this performance category ... just check if your power supply has enough power to handle a better graphic card ;)

i would stay at nvidia because of better drivers... often the ati driver simply doesn't work and the multi ...

Re: Windows 8.1 & FullHD output incompatibility - updated

i also had issues with multiple graphic cards on my desktop-pc...
sadly it looks like they changed something in windows 8 which ends up in weird situations...
simply doesn't work fine so far... on my laptop (win8, 650m) i have no problems with hdmi out... maybe it's just on 8.1!

anyways, what i've ...

Re: GPU load only 72% Nvidia 780M -> Solved

just tried this yesterday with a 650m on a laptop....
frames dropped up from 40 to 75 fps (also did some other settings cause it wasn't set there before)

i did'nt noticed a latency problem, but also did'nt focused on that.
i think if you really need this extra performance then latency shouldn't be ...

What type of software and techniques would you use to achieve results in the early lighting effects in this video?

Thanks

Re: New to Resolume

use a layer for your pictures and activate the autopilot on this layer...
you can set the duration of the image in the clip panel and the fading time and blend-mode at the layer controls

if you need other situations you should prerender i think ;)
