Re: Dual Graphics Cards?
I asked a similar question here once, the answer was that Avenue does all processing on the main card. If there is a second card, any output is a duplicate of information from the first card. So, that would suggest that a second card won't improve performance through sharing the load, it just gives ...

Re: Feedback wanted: Application or Composition mapping?
For me, Composition mapping applies most when I have worked closely with the person doing the audio. So, I have a composition that has a definite structure I have built up and added to over time. I know I'll play to the audio in a particular way, where certain things need to happen at certain times ...

Re: Clips settings Merge/Copy - or Replace
I'd like to ++1 this.
I'd prefer to see a focus on this kind of thing in the next release, core functionality that can't be achieved by any other means (rather than, for example, more projection mapping options that *do* have solutions outside of/in conjunction with Avenue).

Re: Mask Problems
Hi Joris,
See following pics for examples of what's happening (the same clip is triggered each time in a different layer to the same output).
1. Clip displays but the mask doesn't

2. Clip displays but it's the wrong mask.

Re: Mask Problems
On further investigation, many of my clips with .png masks don't appear in the output window(s) until I delete the mask. When I trigger a clip with mask attached, the clip preview displays in the layer preview window, just nothing happens. Deleting and / or re-applying the mask sometimes allows ...

Re: Mask Problems
Ooooh this is an annoying one! Have just upgraded to 3.3.1 and now experiencing a similar bug.
I get different results depending on which layer I send a clip with a .png mask:
1. the mask displays as intended
2. the mask scales to twice the size
3. the mask doesn't display at all
No masks at the ...

Re: Strobe effect - so basic, still not quite there?
Hmmm, I guess someone else might know why it's not showing... it was in the base install for 3.3 and earlier versions. Are you running 3.3.1? Maybe it got dropped...

Re: Strobe effect - so basic, still not quite there?
'Sources' tab > FFGL Sources > Stroboscope. You can set the frequency to be driven by BPM - does this help?

Re: BCR2000 vs BCD2000
you can't trigger clips, like you do on the Akai apc 40, for example!!
Not true, on the BCR2000 the top row of rotary knobs and the 2 rows of buttons beneath can be used as clip triggers (the top rotary knobs are also push buttons)... so that's 24 clip triggers, plus some of the other buttons on ...
