For every video I use, I always convert to dxv using mpeg streamclip. For this particular composition, I wanted to use a couple of .gif files. I converted them into .mov and also made sure they had the dxv codec, like ...

To set it on timeline is what I thought in the first place, but the clip keeps skipping. Even when I adjust the pitch and bpm. The clip plays properly in other video software so the problem can't be the video itsself.
