You can use the same argument for avenue. Note however that that the steps listed on that page page are for plugin developers. If you're not a developer you can just add the argument in the application shortcut.

It is possible to add another color channel, but to be able to drive it with video we'd need to find a rgb value that can be used to represent that channel's output when hitting a white surface. having vsync enabled only fixes tearing issues for a single screen, i think fingers is try to synchronize multiple screens. i have no experience with this so i wouldn't know how to do that but i think quadros support mosaic to get this done, not sure if it works with resolume though so maybe someone...
