Re: multi screen question

If you have the funds, the Datapath X4 is also a great option with a lot more flexibility than the Matrox.

Re: New ">" button when midi mapping

Joris, is a next column button planned for Arena 5? I know it's come up in the forum before, but I'm not sure whether it's in the plans. It would be so great for running shows when you do columns style triggering. It would be like having a a GO button on a light board especially if it can be assigne...

Re: Camera Lag

DayVeeJay, the component output is 1440x1080 so I'm mostly interested in what would introduce the least amount of lag out lf this camera.

The main thing is that in order for HD-SDI to have minimum lag, the camera must be 1920 X 1080 native.

Re: Camera Lag

What are the settings on your Canon XLH1? Are you coming out of the HD-SDI port in the back? The XLH1 is 1440x1080 native not 1920x1080 which means there must be some processing in the camera before the HD-SDI 1080 signal output so I'm wondering if the lag comes from your camera. Also, the actual fr...

Re: New ">" button when midi mapping

Hi Joris,

How would you use this feature with an Akai APC40? Does it work with Columns as well?

Re: Camera Lag

Do you get the same lag when you test the camera in Blackmagic Media Express?

Keep in mind that you can't have the same port selected in both software so you'll have to close Arena 4.

Re: Mac OSX & Logitech Webcams

There should be a drop down menu in your clip preference pan where you can select the resolution. Check out this post: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=11133

Re: disable output advanced

Yes you can use advanced output. All you have to do is create a slice and size it down to match your composition (or scale it up or down).

In your case it's pretty easy because your comp is the same width as your screen so all you have to do is adjust the slice height to 768.

Re: Video Resolution in Output Problems

What compositing mode are you using and what's the opacity level for the layer this syphon source is in?

Re: Output via capture cards not supported at this time

If you have an HDMI output available (or an DVI/miniDP to HDMI adapter), I'd use a BMD HyperDeck Shuttle 2 with a SSD and create a screen/slice that outputs your composition as 1920x1080. Now if you want to capture audio as well, you could output VGA and use a VGA + Audio to HDMI converter (such as ...
